MPlayer is an excellent video player for [[Linux]] that apparently has [[Windows]] and [[Mac]] versions available too. It supports a wide range of video formats and offers full gui control including extensive options and a graphic equalizer. Still requires the [[Restricted-Extras]]. Available through Ubuntu repositories or the link provided
