/o/ is an imageboard for discussing automobiles, as well as trains, but not really trains.

"If /o/ was a race, the field would be comprised of ten AE86s, eight American muscle cars, five LS1-powered Miata's, three RX7's, two DeLoreans, a Bugatti Veyron with DODGE STRATUS spraypainted across the hood, and a Volvo 240.
The AE86s would all over-steer into a wall except for the two guys blasting Eurobeat, who wouldn't be able to hear the Veyron breaking the sound barrier behind them and pull in front of it, causing an accident that the muscle cars wouldn't be able to avoid because they can't turn. The LS1 Miatas would bounce off each other like acrobatic puppies on crack and clear the accident and the retaining wall of the next turn. The DeLoreans would hit 88mph and go forward in time to finish the race, but end up causing a time paradox by crashing into their future selves at the other end. Only one RX7 would even run because the other two were fielded by Puerto Rican teams. It would only be able to get to the third turn before apex seals needed changing. The Volvo 240 would spin out on the final lap, break through the wall, the fence around the track, a nearby hill, a small town, a diamond mine, the center of the Earth, and on and on and on."

4chan's Automotive board revolves around Anonymous from other boards asking what car to buy (known colloquially as wat kar iz gud?); occasional pic dumps; poor trolling; actual car discussion flamed as trolling; tripfaggotry; motorcycle threads and fanboi rage.
As with all cultures, there are various cliques that spawn based on associations of medium, of like-interests, and of general behavior. Tripfags congregate amongst non-4chan /o/ forums to further their circlejerking experience to the point of IRL dick sucking at different truck stops.
Tripfaggotry
/o/'s history of tripfaggotry is storied. In layman's terms, tripfags are bros; the camaraderie reaching the point where identities are revealed, phone numbers swap hands, and Facebook profiles exchanged. Even the occasional IRL meetup isn't unheard of.
On /o/, tripfags constitute the majority of the regular population. Anonymous are somewhat common, and oftentimes most are new posters or random passersby asking for advice.
The amount of tripfags increases vastly during the summer, but only few survive over the winter season.

Lolcantturn refers to understeering. This derogatory term is reserved for American cars stereotypically, although it is improperly associated with any car understeering. The posts containing the term are sometimes followed by a picture of a crashed Mustang.
VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO
This meme used to be spammed often. Its popularity serves as a common misconception held by posters from other boards about /o/. Originating first from posters ridiculing Honda's VTEC, and popularized by the Virginia Tech Massacre, it is one of the least funny memes on /o/.
WAT Racing
WAT Racing Development is a meme based off TRD - Toyota Racing Development. Two tripfags, Nohomo/flapjack & Fc3sfag decided to show their love of WAT by creating a website, which is now defunct.
NOHOMO/Flapjack created the website Watracing.org. It housed a live chat where br/o/s could talk to each other and hang out. It offered a very basic project section amongst other things that were never fully developed. The site also offered WAT racing development T-shirts in a limited run, FC3sfag might still have some shirts left, you can find him on /o/ or 4book. There are talks about more being produced along with a limited run of WAT racing vinyl decals.
IRC/VENTfags had an extreme dislike for this and a pseudo-war erupted into a giant dick waving contest which nobody really cared about in the first place.
