Curl is a command line tool for transferring files with URL syntax, supporting FTP, FTPS, TFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, TELNET, DICT, FILE and LDAP. curl supports SSL certificates, HTTP POST, HTTP PUT, FTP uploading, HTTP form based upload, proxies, cookies, user+password authentication (Basic, Digest, NTLM, Negotiate, kerberos...), file transfer resume, proxy tunneling and a busload of other useful tricks.

Discovery and major usage of Curl by /b/tards

On late-night August 23, during Phase Two of the Furocaust, many a /b/tard abandoned 4chan's /b/, declaring 4chan to no longer be host to Anonymous. One anon set up an /invasions/ board on anonIB, and used the curl script to flood /b/, letting all the /b/tards know of the migration to the new /invasions/ board. A topic was set up on /invasions/, detailing how to download and use curl. Thousands of /b/tards, in reaction to the enforcing of the mod team's anti-invasion and anti-JB policies, did the impossible, successfully invading itself in a round of civil war. Eventually, an uncountable amount of /b/tards started using the curl script, and in an impressive display of patriotism, brought down the img server that /b/ was on due to an insane amount of flooding. (Some would call it reminiscent of a DDoS attack) Reports from the battleground state that the hard drives on the server (as well as another 4chan server) were completely fucked.

Anonymous soon migrated to 7chan, which is apparently the new home for /b/, despite the bandwidth usage practically killing 7chan. Once old/b/ is relaunched on 4chan, new/b/ is prepared to launch another invasion.

Using Curl

A preconfigured copy of Curl is available for download on Rapidshare. It is set already with a "Declaration of Independence" post of /b/ announcing the migration to 7chan, as well as a logo of 7chan. It is preconfigured to flood the /n/ board on 4chan by simply double-clicking the flood.bat file.

To change the post used for flooding, edit the post.txt file. To change the image used for flooding, change the image.jpg file.

To have curl flood a board other than /n/, edit the flood.bat file in Notepad. (Right click, "edit;" in Windows XP) Replace "http://orz.4chan.org/n/imgboard.php" with the URL of the board you want to flood.

To use a proxy with curl, look for "resto=%1" and after that add " -x 1.1.1.1:8080" (yes, including the space) where 1.1.1.1 is the proxy IP and 8080 is the port number.

To have curl flood a specific thread, look for "resto=%1". In between the = and %, input the number of the thread you want it to flood.

Curl can also sage threads. After ""com=<post.txt" -F", add ""email=<email.txt" -F". Then make an email.txt file, with the only content being 'sage'
